As a 5th generation metro Atlanta native, Melody brings over 40 years in the real estate industry to her clients. With a background in banking, she offers her clients detailed analysis of the market and their estimated net if selling and costs involved to purchase if buying.
With over 90% of her business coming from repeat and referral clients, she provides service before, during and long after the closing. Additionally she can provide advice on what updates will bring the most return if thinking of selling and offer expert recommendations for contractors and mortgage professionals.
With a team of two buyers agents, a closing coordinator, operations manager and listing coordinator, our clients are offered the best in personal service and all the technology that the number one real estate firm in the world offers!
Melody’s husband, Tom is also an integral part of her support team. Having hired Melody over 40 years ago as a rookie agent, he continues to assist her in the day-to-day operation of her team. His passion is motorcycles and fitness and their joint mission in life is to help as many homeless animals as possible find their forever homes.
Cynthia Lorie
Operations Manager
Cynthia was born in the Midwest, moved at 10 years old and grew up in the South. Proud to have been a stay at home mom, raised two sons and volunteered endlessly with community schools and sports programs. It was one of the most rewarding times of her life.
She entered the employment world as Manager in Health and Nutrition and transitioned into Property Management which she did for over 16 years. She was also the owner of a home improvement business for several years when flips were the trend.
Personal hobbies include home improvement, gardening, spending time with family and her furry family members.
Cynthia handles the day to day tasks of the team: including but not limited to scheduling showing appointments for properties of interest that our team is showing clients, contacting other realtors and gathering feedback from the showings of our listings and conveying the same to our sellers, and acquiring information needed to market our homes-including legal descriptions and HOA information. Cynthia also handles the repair receipts needed to close. Ensuring all receipts are provided per the terms of the contract-whether it is for our listing or for our buyer and that they are accurate as to the scope of the repairs required by the contract.
Cynthia is the “Go-to-Girl” for Melody and is happy to be part of this amazing team.
Debra Murff
Buyer Specialist
Debra was born in Atlanta at Crawford Long Hospital, a “from-day-one Atlantan”! She spent the last 23 years teaching in Cobb County and when she retired in 2017, she decided she just HAD to be a Realtor because one of her favorite things to do is look at houses.
She also knew she had to be a part of the Unger Team because as a client for over 35 years, she knows what Melody provides for her clients.
She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing with her dog, Nala.
Rose Hochman
Buyer Specialist
Rose grew up in Hollywood, Florida and moved to Cobb county in 1980. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University.
She has been a licensed Realtor since 1999 and has worked in all phases of residential real estate. She now specializes in buyer agency.
Getting to know buyers and helping them through the process of buying a home is her super power. She loves helping people find the right home for them.
Rose loves the beach and spending time there with her husband, Jerry.
Kendra Reed
Listing Coordinator
Born in Detroit, Kendra moved to Georgia in 1990 after time in Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania.
Kendra spent 23 years in “Corporate America” before starting her journey with Cobb County in the public sector. Additionally, Kendra owns her own company, brokering video footage and stock photography, since 2010.
As a member of the Unger Team, Kendra assists the team as Listing Coordinator ensuring property data is keyed timely and accurately.
In her spare time, Kendra is an avid weather enthusiast and storm chaser, enjoys spending time with family and friends and her pets.
